Stinson Municipal Airport
Hangars 9 And 10

Over 39,000 sq. ft. of MBCI's C Panels were used on these 7,000 sq. ft. and 15,000 sq. ft. hangars in San Antonio, TX. The 32"-wide panels were fabricated from 24-gauge Galvalume Plus-coated steel. They are positive fastened with 2.67" rib spacings. The project was started in April 1997 and completed in August the following year.

Metal was the only roofing material considered for this project due to its long life and low maintenance.

C.A. Landry Co. Inc. served as general contractor and roofing contractor. McCall & Associates AIA Architects was the designer. Both companies are from San Antonio.

Applications

Rick Taylor Youth
Recreation Building

A variety of metal roof systems from MBCI were used to top the 16,000 sq. ft. recreational center in Hondo, TX. On the main portion of the structure, Ultra-Deck low slope structural standing seam panels were installed. BattenLok panels provided an architectural element. The Craftsman SB-12 panels were utilized on the radiussed areas of the roof. All of the panels were fabricated from 24-gauge Galvalume-coated steel with an MBCl Signature Paint System. Construction began on this project in March 1998 and was completed in April 1999.

Metal was chosen for this project because it allowed for different shapes to be covered by one type of roofing. It was also cost efficient.

C.A. Landry Co. Inc. of San Antonio, TX, was the general contractor and roofing contractor. The designer was Hondo-based Barbutti & Associates.
